Tami Hough – Owner/President
Tami Hough is the President/Owner of Hough Counseling and Assessments, PLLC.
Tami earned her Masters of Arts (M.A.) degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Community Inclusion from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts and Science (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 1999.
She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) providing professional patient services including individual counseling, couples counseling, Neuropsychological, Psychological and Vocational Assessments. Tami has been providing these services through her practice since 2014. Tami has also received her certificate for Clinical Supervision in the State of Michigan.
Tami’s additional professional experience includes working with persons with disabilities, both youth and adult populations. She worked for the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP) for approximately 6 years. She provided the following rehabilitation services: determined eligibility for services, developed individualized plans, authorized for services, collaborated with other agencies for additional services, case management, counseling, obtained eye reports, medical reports, education and psychological records, provided job placement/job development services and adaptive equipment when needed. She also worked with a small business consultant to determine feasibility and develop a Small Business Plan for those clients that were interested in opening a small business. In addition, she worked with a variety of language experts to provide non-English speaking clients the ability to communicate and seek education and training as well as learning to speak, read and write the English language.
Tami is a loyal member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) and the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association (MMHCA).
